Angie Follensbee-Hall

I’m Angie.

Yes, Angie, not Angela–I was named after the Rolling Stones song (you’re singing it now). 🎶

I was born on the beautiful island of Sicily and I grew up in the free-spirited woods of New Hampshire and Vermont.

I’m a lifelong sadhaka–spiritual seeker.

I’ve been a yoga teacher since 2005 and teacher trainer since 2013. I’m a professional artist, energy healer, Kirtan leader & mantra lover, meditator, herbal practitioner, writer, bird lover, and tree hugger.

I can help you find the balance and presence you seek through an artful yoga lifestyle.

I’m so glad you are here!

There’s a reason you found me.

Women often reach a point in their lives when they feel like something is ‘missing.’ They’ve heard a lot about the benefits of yoga but don’t really understand how to use it to achieve the change they want.

That’s where I come in. Through in-person and online classes, private mentoring, trainings, and more I show them how a yoga practice can impact their life off the mat.

When yoga is grounded in philosophy, practice, and presence, you experience life differently–body, mind, and soul feel complete–what was missing becomes whole. Your whole life can become a work of art.

I’m not a guru.

This is your yoga journey.

I’m here as your guide.

I am an artist, writer, and teacher. I strive to learn from every experience so I can genuinely embody a life of abundant creativity, personal growth, and healing.

I trained under yoga teachers from many traditions and lineages, both in the US and India. As a result, my classes are an immersive blend of movement, mindfulness, and artful expression.

I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts & a Master of Arts degree in Education and Creative Practice.

I’m also a

  • Registered and Experienced Yoga Teacher at the 500-hour level

  • Yoga & Creativity Mentor

  • Certified Ayurvedic Lifestyle Practitioner

  • Certified Reiki Master

  • Attunement Energy Practitioner

  • Certified Herbal Practitioner

As a yoga teacher since 2005, my goal has always been to awaken in you a sense of connection, belonging, and soul purpose.

Yoga is about flow and presence, not rules and rigidity. My teaching incorporates loose frameworks that allow room for exploration and curiosity. Whether it’s your first time practicing with our studio or your first time on the mat, my hope is that you’ll feel like you belong.

Yoga changes your life. I will show you how.

My yoga teachers come from many traditions and lineages, both in the US and from India. I spent many years studying Swakriya Yoga with Swami Gurusharanananda, with time in India and by hosting him in the USA.

Ever since my visit to India in 2014, the great avatara Sri Anandamayi Ma remains a strong influence in my personal practices. Sri Ma reveals that yoga is far more than a physical practice as it assists the body in fully knowing the divine Self. She inspires our Kirtan, my teaching, and my daily practice.

Creative Expression

Every aspect of my life is infused with art. For nearly 20 years I have explored the art of hand papermaking. I transform mixed-media sources—rope, paper, paint, and botanicals—with inspiration drawn from nature, world myths, religions, and classic fables.
